Syrian refugees cook to better integrate
A smell of spices floats in the small kitchen in the industrial district of Mont-Royal where four cooks are busy. They have an order to deliver: Syrian mezze, hommos (chickpea puree), mutabal (eggplant puree), cheese rolls, kibbe, vine leaves and kataief, dessert.
These women are all Syrian refugees who arrived in Montreal….
